Through M3 Rock n’ Talk, the student-led initiative builds self-awareness, confidence, tolerance and kindness on school campuses and communities across the nation.
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
The primary purpose is to help students make the right choices in their lives, better understand mental health awareness, and become sensitive to each other’s needs, which will ultimately create a more positive and inclusive school environment. Focus areas may include suicide, bullying, stress & anxiety, depression and addiction (drugs, alcohol, social media, obesity).
M3 Rock n’ Talk collaborates with school leaders to identify students of all demographics to lead a movement on their campus. The student movement is appealing, easy to implement, rewarding and ongoing. Through M3 Rock n’ Talk, this student-led initiative builds self-awareness, confidence, tolerance and kindness on school campuses and communities across the nation. M3 provides resources and guidance to implement change through student innovation and action, such as, student-led discussion forums, peer-mentoring programs, (on campus and within local feeder elementary and middle schools), and grant-funded programs that provide students the resources to implement projects on campus and within the community.
STRENGTH IN COLLABORATION
M3 Rock n’ Talk develops partnerships with school leaders, public and private professional resources and organizations, and most importantly, identifies, develops and encourages students to take the lead in creating and implementing programs and projects that will save lives across the nation. Youth struggle nationwide to find their place in this world, amidst the negativity and dangerous elements on the Internet. M3 Rock n’ Talk is committed to “stay out of the box” by working with partners and strategic alliances to make positive change.
